The Damon Albarn-led Gorillaz continue rollout for The Now Now with the release of their fourth new single, “Fire Flies.”

It may seem as if scintillating interactions and deeply personal messaging with her fans are her biggest talent as of late, but let us not forget the deeply mesmerizing properties of REZZ‘s music. With the full scope of her production prowess on display with her debut album Mass Manipulation, it’s understandable that many are still […]

Dexter’s Beat Laboratory is a weekly collection of songs from DA music editor and staff writer Robyn Dexter. With a taste that can only be described as eclectic — to say nothing of a name that lends itself to punnery — DA is happy to present a selection of tracks personally curated by Dexter for […]

With each successive single released off of his forthcoming FANTAST album, Claptone‘s musical prowess grows “Stronger.” As the days leading up to the June 8 arrival of the masked marvel’s sophomore outing dwindle, Claptone deepens the intrigue that envelops FANTAST with the fifth single from the project, “Stronger.”

The mask-wearing producer is hot off the release of his No Redemption EP with Tchami, as well as a collaborative effort with Noizu on “Music Sounds Better With You.” To continue this streak, Malaa takes fans deep into the weekend with a house edit of Mercer‘s upbeat track “Satisfy.”

Malaa meticulously captures the groovy feels of Mercer’s original, complementing a deeper bassline with straight house vibes that seamlessly appear out of nowhere. This is guaranteed to turn some heads as he continues touring the globe, detouring at Club Space in Miami and Exchange LA before another No Redemption tour performance in Mykonos, Greece.

The most important day of every week: New Music Friday. As each week brings a succession of new music from some of electronic music’s biggest artists, here’s a selection of tracks that shouldn’t be missed. Grammy Award-winning CID taps sensuous songstress Anabel Englund for his bumping future house track, “Use Me Up.” Panamanian Fito Blanko […]

With years of experience under his belt, Oneohtrix Point Never is a mainstay in the world of experimental composition. Following the 2017 soundtrack to the indie film Good Time and his recent Red Bull Music Academy performance, the prolific producer has returned with his new full length LP, Age Of.

The album, that spans 13 tracks, stands as Oneohtrix Point Never’s next exploration into the lush yet jarring soundscapes found in his catalog. The album begins in a subdued fashion, with vocal performances in songs like “Babylon” and “Black Snow” adding depth to the producer’s already massive skill-set. Sourcing outside help from James Blake, ANOHNI, and more, the LP reaches levels of precision that most producers could only dream of.

Calvin Harris dropped three remixes of his most recent Billboard success “One Kiss,” with Dua Lipa. Oliver Heldens, ZHU, and Jauz each had the pleasure of remixing the Scotsman’s production.

Heldens gives the original his signature deep house, murky melodies. The distorted bass creates a stark contrast between Lipa’s optimistic, top-end pop vocals and the body-trembling, low-ends of the hook. With a bed of organ synths, Lipa’s voice produces that giddy anticipation of attraction while the drop pulls the rug out from under the listener, falling deep in love on the dance floor.

Tiësto remixed Ed Sheeran‘s “Happier,” off his 2017 best-selling album, ÷. This is a massive collaboration and the result is no surprise: it’s amazing. Tiësto sounds like he’s flexing his Kygo muscle, as the producer’s light, deep house cuddle’s Sheeran’s folksy voice with melodic, rumbling synths.

Dillon Francis continues releasing singles from his upcoming Spanish-language. His new release is a collaboration with Jesse Baez, “Quiero Saber.” It’s a love song about Baez’ obsession for an unknown lover, for all the unanswered questions love might bring. The artist from Guatemala gives the song an emotional weight while Francis does his thing with […]
